How to Fix a Brake Fluid Leak

Step 1: Know Your Limits

Step 3: Add New Brake Hoses
Take a look at the brake hoses. If they are leaking, you will need to make a trip to your automotive parts store and purchase a new set of brake hoses. Replace the old hoses with the new hoses.
Step 4: Add Metal Tubing and Pipe Bender. If it is only the brake lines showing signs of leaking, you can easily fix the leak with metal tubing and pipe bender. Essentially, you will purchase these parts at your local automotive parts store. You will need to pull out your user manual for your car and walk through it step by step in order to effectively fix your brake fluid lines. This is not a simple task. Enlist the help of a friend or someone that is in the know when it comes to automobiles.

Step 5: Fix the Caliper Piston
Purchase a new caliper at the automotive parts store and follow the directions inserted with the new caliper. Use these directions along with the information contained in your manual about your car. Again, if you are unsure, do not change the new calipers. It can harm your car.
