The best way to Install Ross-Tech VAG-COM / VCDS 12.12 Cable & Software on Windows

This article will guide you how to install VAGCOM 12. 12 USB cable on Windows and VCDS software.
CAUTION:

There's several version of VAG-COM 12. 12 online. Unfortunately 99% of them are using low-grade hardware chip with additional of cracked VCDS software ( sometimes needed an awkward 2013 date adjustment). If you own this sort of version, beware half of functions refuses to work. For that reason we recommend you get the complete VAG-COM 2015 cable with original, unlocked and full version of VCDS software from Ross-Tech™ -- by clicking here.


STEP 1: Install Ross-Tech VCDS Software

DO NOT plug VAG-COM cable into computer yet. Also don't launch software after install.

First install VCDS 12. 12 software that came with the package.

Leave original installation path of: C: \Ross-Tech\VCDS


STEP 2: Plug VAG-COM 12. 12 Cable Into Computer

Plug VAGCOM cable into any USB slot on your computer.

Allow about 2-4 minutes for Windows to automatically install drivers.

VAGCOM If Windows says that drivers are successfully installed,

VAG-COM 12. 12 USB If Windows fails to install drivers, then continue to Step 3 below.




STEP 3: Install Driver Files

1) Go to Control Panel.

Windows Vista/7/8/10: Control Panel » System » Device Manager
Windows XP: Control Panel » System » inch Hardware " tab » Device Manager



2) Increase "Ports (COM & LPT)".

3) Right- click on "Ross-Tech" » Update Operater Software.

4) Choose "Browse Pc for Driver Software".

5) Browse to: "C: \Ross-Tech\VCDS". So it ought to look like this...

6) Click "Next". When you get below message, choose "Install this driver software anyway".

{STEP 4|Step} 4: Disable {Internet|Web} & {Launch|Release|Start} Software

{{You MUST|YOU NEED TO} disconnect from {internet|web}/WIFI before launching software .|You disconnect from internet/WIFI before launching software {MUST|Need to|Have to}.} {If you're|If you are|In case you are|Should you be|For anyone who is} {connected to|linked to} internet - {then|after that} VAGCOM cable {won't be|will not be} {detected|recognized|discovered} by VCDS software.

{Launch|Release|Start} software from {Start|Begin} {Menu|Menus}. Or from C: \Ross-Tech\VCDS\VCDS. exe

Go to: Options » {Test|Check} ( {leave|keep|depart} {it|this} as USB)

{It should|It will} {show|display} " {Interface|User interface} Found", {as|because|since} {seen|observed|noticed} below...
